MusicBrainz where it knows (46% of plays): the recording's first release, or failing
that the album's. Otherwise it's the date of the album Spotify plays it from, which for a reissue or compilation
can be years later.

For each year of shows, how its songs spread across release years, in five-year spans (songs
from before the 1950s count in the first). Bar height is the share of that year's songs, on the same scale in every
row; the dark tick is the median.
